Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path…

(Psalms 119:105, Proverbs 6:23, 2 Peter 1:19)

The United States military works and trains under the philosophy of zero defects. Zero Mistakes!

Have you ever wondered what the revealing biblical phrase “Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path” really means?

You look around and see so many natural defects, emotional and even spiritual defects and wonder how it is possible? How is it that there are so many imperfections in my surrounding and in my life if I have the word of God that helps me see everything? Sin, my friend, since the beginning of times has fragmenting the image of God’s creation.

To get back to the standard, the original image of God, we too must adhere to the zero defect philosophy. One may argue that there is no one perfect, indeed no one is perfect but we have received the prophetic word of God, the light that will lead us toward perfection. Sin, since the beginning of times has been fragmenting the image of God’s creation and because of it; we conform and devalue the true standard of life designed by the living God.

When we use the word of God, to be the light by which we see things we shall learn to raise the standards by which our life is govern and we will be successful, perfect! Secular entities use the very same tactic and it works. How much more will it be effective to those who belief that the blood of Christ fully paid the price for our redemption and has given us power?

So, as you look around, when you see personal defects and the defects around you, do not conform, do not allow the fragmented image define who you are, be courageous and raise your standards to those of God.

Will you go back to the biblical principles or will you continue to conform to the fragmented image of the creation?
